WILDLAND-URBAN INTERFACE

This report, part of the Forests on the Edge project, is designed to help planners and developers understand the relationship between increased development and wildfire risk, as well as to build awareness of the ecological role of wildfire, and the causes and impacts of wildfire. It includes maps of the WUI and where structures have been lost to wildfire, and case studies that focus on local fire prevention efforts and mitigation tools.
