Wildland-Urban Interface

This article discusses a survey of homeowners to understand and characterize residents living in high wildfire-risk areas. It is based on research of the Fourmile Canyon Fire of Colorado, and it presents useful insight into the population within the Fourmile Fire evacuation zone before the events of September 2010.
