Scenic View Protection

The county’s comprehensive plan includes an element with objectives and strategies to protect scenic resources. It includes strategies like voluntary measures, including the use of conservation easements, agricultural/forestal districts, and rural preservation developments. Additional strategies include supporting enabling legislation to allow the county to designate scenic protection overlays, maintaining and enhancing scenic corridors, and seeking protection for scenic streams.
