Wildland-Urban Interface

This interactive helps in the identification of towns and cities threatened by wildfires. It also presents information on the sizes and distance from the wildfire hazards. It depicts the communities in the U.S. which have had wildfires nearby of more than 100 acres, from 2000 to 2017.

This map helps in identification of frequently impacted areas from wildfire hazards. It is designed only to show where wildfires have recently occurred, using GeoMAC’s published database with GIS perimeters of wildfires from 2000-2017.
