Scenic View Protection

The town’s zoning code protects views to significant landforms and preserves the natural heritage by using a zoning overlay district. It includes building restrictions and information on visual impact mitigation (§17.48.060). Restrictions include designating building envelopes that do not interfere with major skyline and major ridgeline areas and applying height restriction. Mitigation includes guidelines for appropriate colors, vegetation, floodlighting, and exposed basements.
