Scenic View Protection

The town’s zoning code requires site plan review and approval for uses and developments within the scenic corridor overlay zoning district. General requirements discuss building aesthetics, massing, shape, and location (§117-11G). The district is divided into zones that describe the protected view, including ridges, fields and hedgerows, dense woods, and panoramic views. Scenic view protection techniques include screening and landscaping protected by a restrictive covenant and required setbacks as determined by the Planning Board.
