Scenic View Protection

The town’s zoning code establishes a Ridgeline and Hillside Viewshed Protection Zone to protect viewsheds. It describes a development review process, which ensures that structures do not extend beyond the predominant tree line in areas within the protection area(§13-13E). Requirements include using materials that are compatible the landscape, using buffer or screens, and limitations on site grading.
