Downtown Revitalization

This city’s zoning code includes two downtown districts that encourage pedestrian-oriented mixed-use redevelopment.

The “MUD” Mixed-Use downtown district prioritizes intensification, ground floor retail and upper floor residential or office space, pedestrian scale, and transit use (§17.34). The Willamette Falls downtown district has similar objectives but also prioritizes light industrial use and open space amenities (§17.35). Development in both downtown districts must adhere to the downtown design district overlay.
