This report discusses seven principles for collaborative neighborhood planning processes:

3. Plan for Implementation

4. Take Advantage of Available Tools and Resources

5. Be Financially Realistic

6. Communicate the Panning Process Effectively

7. Make the Neighborhood’s “Social” Capital Grow

 

It includes examples of successful local efforts in Chicago, San Jose, California, and Austin, Texas.
