Historic Preservation

This subarea plan outlines recommendations and an implementation strategy for the Gravois-Jefferson neighborhood in St. Louis. The plan recommendations, including goals and objectives, are listed in the executive summary. The area’s historic building stock is framed as an opportunity and challenge, and preservation goals are incorporated throughout each section. For example, the Employment and Business Development section seeks designation of a significant corridor in the Historic Main Street program. The Environment section points out the need to make historic buildings more energy efficient.
