Outdoor Lighting

This report was commissioned by the city to examine current lighting standards in Lincoln and make recommendations for new outdoor lighting standards. The city wished to consolidate six different documents relating to outdoor lighting and create clearer and more effective guidance for certain outdoor lighting situations, including sensitive habitat. The analysis reviewed the city’s existing lighting standards, surveyed and evaluated actual outdoor lighting practices in the area, and reviewed standards from other communities. A Outdoor Lighting Advisory Task Force set goals and expectations for the lighting standards proposed by the report.
