This article explores obstacles that impact autonomous vehicles (AVs) implementation in urban spaces. It explores uncertainties related to AV including shared use, technological hurdles, and AV adoption. Finally, it provides guidelines for planners encountering these uncertainties, highlighting opportunities to reassess parking needs and land use in cities.
