Home Occupations

The village’s zoning code allows home occupations with a discretionary use permit subject to use-specific standards (§120.30). Home occupations must comply with location and space, employee, Dwelling modification, parking, sign, traffic, storage, nuisance, and materials standards (§120.30).

The code stipulates that off-street parking may not impact neighborhood character, but must be provided to accommodate the “anticipated increase in vehicles” due to the home occupation (§120.30.H), defined as “1 additional for each employee (§120.16.7).
