Home Occupations

The city’s zoning code permits home occupations by right subject to use-specific standards (§154.15.08.A). Home occupations must comply with location and space, employee, client visitation and hours of operation, sale and display, vehicle, delivery, sign, storage, equipment, access for inspection, and specific use prohibition standards (§§154.15.08.B–C). The code contains additional standards for merchandise parties and contracting services (§§154.15.08.D.1–2).

The code permits home occupations in renter-occupied dwellings, subject to written approval from the property owner (§154.15.08.B.7). It includes a detailed health hazards standards section (§154.15.08.B.13).
