Home Occupations

The city’s unified development code permits home occupations by right, subject to use-specific standards.

The code’s structure lists the home occupations regulations in each district where permitted. The standards are identical in each (Appendix A §§3.5-14, 3.6-15, & 3.7-15).

Home occupations must comply with employee, location and space, storage and display, sales, dwelling modification, nuisance, traffic, delivery, auxiliary entrance, and vehicle standards (Appendix A §§3.5-14.c, 3.6-15.c, & 3.7-15.c). It includes an illustrative, but non-exhaustive, list of allowed home occupations. It includes hours of operation standards (Appendix A §§3.5-14.g.2, 3.6-15.g.2, & 3.7-15.g.2)
