Tiny Houses and Micro-Apartments

This article presents a zoning reform proposal that would facilitate the use of tiny home communities as a homelessness prevention strategy. It provides a primer on tiny homes and discusses how building and zoning codes often prevent placement and habitation of tiny homes and tiny home communities. It then discusses the separate regulatory framework applied to campgrounds and proposes regulating tiny home communities as campgrounds instead of dwelling units.
