Wind Energy

This report summarizes 25 rural wind energy ordinances. It presents ordinances in tables. Table rows correspond with “ordinance themes.” It provides a brief overview for each theme: access, appearance, clearance, electrical, equipment, height, lighting, noise standards, permits, restoration requirements, setbacks, shadow flicker, signage, signal interference standards, spacing and density, and zoning areas (pp.3-4).
