This guide provides communities in Georgia with background and guidance for developing wind energy ordinances, and section-by-section discussion from the corresponding Georgia Wind Working Group’s Model Wind Ordinance.
It discusses methods for applying the model ordinance in locally-appropriate ways, along with the legal foundations of the model (pp.5-9). It discusses each section of the model ordinance, providing rationale and additional guidance for tailoring it to local conditions (pp.10-19).
