Wind Energy

This model ordinance provides a template to help cities in New Jersey develop small wind energy system regulations. It permits small wind energy systems in all districts by right, subject to use-specific standards (§00.05). Small wind energy systems must be setback equal to the municipality’s building setback requirements (§00.05.1). It includes standards for access, lighting, appearance, sings, interconnection, and MET towers.
