Wind Energy

The village’s codified ordinances allow small wind energy systems (SWES) in all districts with a discretionary use permit, subject to use-specific standards. SWES may not exceed 100kW rated capacity or 170 feet in total height (§79.II.55.8). Its purpose and findings sections support the development of distributed SWES (§79.II.54).
