The city’s zoning code permits small and large wind energy systems, subject to use-specific standards (Table 4.1).

These standards define related terms and address maximum rotor diameters, guy wires, multiple turbines on a parcel, utility notifications, property interests, parking, meteorological towers, height, setbacks, sound, shadow flicker, signal interference, waivers of standards, design and installation, security and warnings, visual appearance, maintenance, emergency services plans, use of public streets, abandonment, public inquiries, special permit criteria, application requirements, and building permit application requirements (§13).
