Wind Energy

The city’s zoning code permits accessory vertical- and horizontal-axis wind energy systems by right, subject to use-specific standards (§17.39). These standards address placement, number of systems, rated capacities, height, noise, color, permits, FAA regulations, utility approval, signs, and interconnection, maintenance, removal, and violations.
