Wind Energy

The town’s zoning code permits small wind energy systems as accessory uses with a discretionary use permit in all zoning districts, subject to use-specific standards (§45-290). These standards address setbacks, tower height, access, blade clearance, appearance, signs, lighting, noise, application requirements, compliance with federal and state requirements, and removal (§45-461).
