Wind Energy

The county’s wind energy ordinance defines and regulates small and large wind energy systems.

It permits small systems by right, subject to use-specific standards (§4). These standards address height, setbacks, building permits, FAA regulations, utility notification, appearance, and decommissioning.

It permits large systems with a discretionary use permit (§5).
