It introduces the problem, describes creative solutions through case studies, and concludes with a rendering of a custom-designed building, “The Open House,” which is flexible enough to accommodate three different household living arrangements at 1,000 square feet. The report was adapted from an exhibition of the same name at the National Building Museum.
