age-friendly communities

This report shares the results of a national survey of local governments regarding their readiness for accommodating the needs of a growing population of older adults. It serves as a follow up to the first survey, conducted in 2005, and tracks how responses have changed over time and in the context of the Great Recession. The results show that little progress has been made in terms of creating more comprehensively age-friendly communities, due primarily to funding shortages.
