This briefing paper explores how communities can implement transportation interventions to build more family-friendly communities. Complete Streets, the Safe Routes to School program, trip chaining, and transit-oriented development are featured strategies. The resources also includes a toolkit (p. 3) for promoting family-friendly communities for different modes and case studies (p. 3-4) with links to specific plans.
