Report a broken linkage-friendly communities
This article investigates the age-friendly communities movement from an ecological perspective. So far, research and policy emerging from the movement has assumed that there is a direct link between individual and environmental conditions and that factors like age, gender, and income do not significantly change the kinds of recommended interventions. Given these assumptions, the authors call for more interdisciplinary and intersectional research on age-friendliness to ensure that the effort remain equitable.
