age-friendly communities

This article explores the benefits, challenges, and opportunities of intergenerational initiatives and proposes a framework for future work. This framework, in the form of a logic model (Figure 1 & Figure 2), includes resources, SMART objectives, and short-, mid-, and long-term outcomes, all leading to the ultimate goal of a livable city for all ages. It stresses the importance of the role of government in building age-friendly communities, even as intergenerational initiatives begin to include other stakeholders.
