age-friendly communities

These two interactive maps share the progress of the age-friendly communities movement in Ontario, Canada. Map 1 allows users to view current age-friendly communities and to look at which communities are implementing different kinds of initiatives, including Outdoor Spaces & Public Buildings, Transportation, Housing, Social Participation, Respect and Social Inclusion, Civic Participation and Employment, Communication and Information, and Community Support and Health Services. Map 2 also allows users to view current age-friendly communities and includes the option to view the agencies and organizations, including Senior Active Living Centers (SALCs), Public Health Units, and Ontario Universities, that are working to increase age-friendliness. Both maps include links to external websites for more information, when available.
