This guide was designed to inform local Canadian governments on how to evaluate age-friendly initiatives. It includes a list of 43 indicators organized by domain (p. 2), which include:
- Outdoor Spaces and Buildings
- Transportation
- Housing
- Social Participation
- Respect and Social Inclusion
- Civic Participation and Employment
- Communication and Information
- Community Support and Health Services
- Health and Social Outcomes for Seniors
Each domain is described in detail, and suggested measurement methods and tools are provided by indicator theme. A summary of tools is provided in Chapter 5 (p. 55). A helpful graphic summarizing the guideās contents is provided in Chapter 6 (p. 72).
