This functional plan uses seven of the WHO’s eight domains of livability to organize the needs, challenges, and recommendations for creating an age-friendly community. Each domain includes recommendations that fall into the categories of Policy, Program, or Training. It also includes a list of overarching recommendations that do not fit neatly into one specific domain (p. 9).
