Benefits of Compact, Mixed Use Development

This report responds to Wendell Cox’s Putting People First: An Alternative Perspective with an Evaluation of the NCE Cities “Trillion Dollar” Report – itself a response to the author’s Analysis of Public Policies that Unintentionally Encourage and Subsidize Urban Sprawl. It points out the biases and contradictions in Cox’s report and further defends smart growth as the preferred development pattern.
