Benefits of Compact, Mixed Use Development

This report looks at the impact of walkability on home prices. The results show that a one-point increase in Walk Score adds 0.14 percent to the price of a home. The authors argue that there is a demand for walkable communities that consumers are willing to pay a premium for, if land use regulations are relaxed.
