Benefits of Compact, Mixed Use Development

This article concludes that employment accessibility would be a more effective land-use policy for reducing VMT than neighborhood population density, especially in the Los Angeles area. It calls for land-use policy change at the regional scale, rather than the neighborhood scale, in order to make a meaningful impact on climate change.
