This report provides guidance to metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) on how to improve health outcomes through transportation planning. It introduces a holistic framework for health, discusses regulation and funding sources, and shares case studies from MPOs in Nashville, Puget Sound, Sacramento, and San Diego. Chapter 4 shares the report’s main findings and recommendations.
