Report a broken linkBuilt Environment and Health
This article reviews literature on the relationship between urban environments and mental illness. While most of the literature concludes that there is a correlation between mental illness and urban environments, the authors warn that this may be due to poverty, social isolation, and discrimination rather than specific features of the built environment. It calls for additional research to better understand this relationship.
