Built Environment and Health

This interactive map displays data at the city and census tract level for several measures categorized as health outcomes, prevention, or unhealthy behaviors. Health outcome measures include prevalence of arthritis, asthma, high blood pressure, cancer, high cholesterol, chronic kidney disease, COPD, coronary heart disease, diabetes, mental health, physical health, tooth loss, and stroke. Prevention measures include health insurance, annual checkup, dental visit, taking blood pressure medication, cholesterol screening, mammography, pap smear test, colorectal cancer screening, and core preventative services for men and women. Unhealthy behavior measures include binge drinking, smoking, physical inactivity, obesity, and less than 7 hours of sleep.
