Green Building

This briefing paper covers the local barriers to reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency. These barriers include limited uptake in energy efficiency upgrades, workforce challenges, insufficient public and utility funding, lack of information about home energy performance, and lack of prioritization of greenhouse gas reduction and energy efficiency in existing policies and programs. The briefing paper includes case studies on best practices and recommendations.
