Green Building

This article addresses the factors that contribute to innovation in the homebuilding industry and approaches to promoting such innovation. It highlights results from two surveys that examine the practices and approaches to innovation amongst homebuilders. The article identifies three factors that influence such innovation: perceived risks, degree of centralized decision making, and differences in the roles of technology champions.
