This report investigates social service infrastructure in the suburbs of Chicago, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. It finds that social services in suburbs need to be expanded to meet the current demand and to keep up with growing poverty. It calls for more cross-sector collaboration and better regional planning to address social service gaps while avoiding duplication.
