Social Equity

The city’s comprehensive plan includes a Health and Environmental Justice section. It proposes specific goals and policies addressing environmental justice, respiratory health and air quality, physical activity, healthy foods, access to health care, and lead based paint and other contaminants in the home and lists relevant policies from other elements. The plan included an EJ section before it was required by California law.
