Historic Preservation

This article explores the relationship between peripheral growth and historic preservation. It proposes a model designed to measure neglect rates in historic districts and applies this model to Quakertown, Pennsylvania. It advocates for the adoption of smart growth policies as a strategy to slow teardowns and demolition by neglect.
