Historic Preservation

This blog post looks at the Pilsen and Little Village neighborhoods in Chicago to explore the changing role of mural and graffiti art in historic preservation. It argues that promoting resident engagement with these art forms helps build the social capital necessary to undertake preservation projects in communities with fewer financial resources.
