Hazard Mitigation

The county’s comprehensive plan includes extensive background and policy recommendations for hazard mitigation in its Natural Hazards chapter. 

This chapter explains its relationship to the local hazard mitigation plan. And it includes goals and policies for flood, geologic, drought, and multi-hazard mitigation, as well as disaster recovery.

Historic Preservation

The city’s comprehensive plan features a historic preservation element. It discusses the archaeological resources and Euro-American settlement history of the area and establishes five goals with related policies to improve the local historic preservation program.
