Green Stormwater Infrastructure

This case study focuses on the use of low-impact development (LID) for an arid climate in Mesa, Arizona. It discusses the barriers and strategies to implementing LID in Mesa and includes a LID “toolkit” that lists recommended tactics including curb cuts, vegetated swales, bio-retention basins, permeable paving, constructed wetlands, infiltration drainfields, green roofs, and cisterns. The case study also provides a list of additional case studies as an appendix.
