Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s comprehensive plan presents low-impact development (LID) and green infrastructure tactics as options for stormwater management. It covers the use of vegetated stormwater channels to address flooding (§8.3.3), environmentally sensitive siting to reduce stormwater runoff (§10.9.3.C), and the use of permeable surfaces to manage water flow (§12.3.5.B-6). The comprehensive plan emphasizes the importance of low-impact development (LID) in the introduction of the Water Resource Element.
