Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s comprehensive plan encourages the use and preservation of greenways, green infrastructure, and low-impact development (LID) in park space. It includes an action to inform Home Owner Associations of their responsibility for maintaining detention ponds and other green infrastructure (Objective 3.1, Action 4) and actions to create incentives to encourage LID and create a demonstration park to showcase LID design (Objective 3.1, Actions 1-2). The comprehensive plan also discusses the importance of greenways and includes several actions to utilize their environmental and social benefits.
