Green Stormwater Infrastructure

This functional plan identifies opportunities for the use of green infrastructure to improve stormwater management, stimulate economic development, and enhance community identity in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It provides an overview of preexisting plans and trends, local stormwater management challenges, and solutions to these challenges. It highlights the social, environmental, and economic benefits of several tactics including pervious paving, green roofs, blue roofs, rain gardens, bioswales, rain barrels, and cisterns. The functional plan locates potential project sites throughout the city and includes detailed maps and additional information as appendices.
