Green Stormwater Infrastructure

The city’s code of ordinances provides requirements to minimize erosion and stormwater runoff with green infrastructure. It promotes the use of green infrastructure and trees to manage stormwater, minimize the urban heat island effect, support habitats, and improve quality of life (§227-2.G). The code of ordinances also emphasizes using green infrastructure to improve landscape aesthetics and increase property values (§227-2.H).
